RadioMaster TX16S MKII 2.4GHz 16CH Radio Transmitter - ELRS 2.4GHz
This version of the TX16S MAX has Hall gimbals and an internal ELRS module (it's the only radio protocol I would recommend for FPV today). This was my daily driver radio for a long time and I loved it. This is the entry level version and offers the best value.
Top of the line
RadioMaster TX16S MKII MAX 2.4GHz 16CH Radio Transmitter - ELRS w/ AGO1 Gimbals
My goodness you can spend any amount of money on a TX16S these days! The key features you should be looking for are internal ELRS (it's the only radio protocol I would recommend for FPV today) and gimbal type. If you are looking for a full size radio and want the best possible gimbals pick this version with the AG01s. The MAX version adds a carbon effect faceplate and nicer CNC aluminium parts.
Mid range
RadioMaster TX16S MKII MAX 2.4GHz 16CH Radio Transmitter - ELRS w/ Hall Gimbals V4.0
This version of the TX16S MAX has Hall gimbals and an internal ELRS module (it's the only radio protocol I would recommend for FPV today). This was my daily driver radio for a long time and I loved it. The MAX version adds a carbon effect faceplate and nicer CNC aluminium parts.
Ergonomic
Top of the line
RadioMaster Boxer MAX Radio Transmitter - ELRS 2.4GHz M2
Ergonomics are important. The Boxer has better ergonomics than the TX16S at the expense of a smaller black and white screen. If you are sensitive to gimbal quality and willing to spend a bit more for better gimbals, a carbon effect faceplate and additional CNC aluminium parts this is the version I would choose.
More RGB
RadioMaster Boxer Radio Transmitter w/ LEDs - ELRS 2.4GHz M2 (Transparent)
This is the standard Boxer with it's great ergonomics with Hall effect gimbals and internal ELRS module. Now with a clear plastic casing and LEDs. More RGB is more better!
Best value
RadioMaster Boxer Radio Transmitter - ELRS 2.4GHz
The base version of the Boxer available at a very reasonable price. The ergonomics of this radio are better in my opinion than the TX16S but the screen is slightly smaller and black and white. I recommend you standardise on ELRS for all your quads and only consider the version with the internal ELRS module. Fancier versions are available but they cost more.
Gamepad
Best Gamepad
RadioMaster Zorro Max Radio Controller - ELRS 2.4GHz
The Zorro is an excellent compact ELRS radio and this is the top of the line version with CNC Metal Hall gimbals. If you fly using thumbs only rather than a pich or hybrid grip you may prefer the more game controller style layout. It uses slightly less common 18350 batteries.
Mid range
RadioMaster Zorro Radio Controller - ELRS Starter Set
The Zorro is an excellent compact ELRS radio. If you fly using thumbs only rather than a pich or hybrid grip you may prefer the more game controller style layout. It uses slightly less common 18350 batteries and compact hall effect gimbals.
Best value
RadioMaster Pocket Radio - ELRS 2.4GHz
If you are loooking for a compact radio with smaller gimbals at a lower price point the RadioMaster pocket is a great choice. All the key features are there and the ergonomics are great. Choose the ELRS version (it's the only protocol I'd use for FPV today)
